Challenge Rules
The Campbell Outdoor Challenges are specific competition events on the Campbell Outdoor Circuits. The Campbell Outdoor Circuits are a series of team hunting and filming Challenge competitions, featuring teams matching their videoing skills in filming hunts. Hunts will be for free-ranging animals hunted under fair-chase conditions. The challenges or competitions will be conducted in various States for specified species.

Each Team consists of one cameraman and one hunter. Teams participate in qualifying challenges on the Campbell Outdoor Challenge Circuit for a specific species or combination of species, for cash and prizes. The Circuit or series of Challenge events shall have a beginning and an ending date as to determine the season in which qualifying round advancing team’s standings, or point accumulations are accrued to determine a Championship Team.

A team wins a Circuit Championship by either advancing through a series of Challenge qualifying rounds and winning a championship round or by accumulating points by its participation and team finishes in Challenge qualifying rounds. Qualifying rounds and championship rounds may be hosted by either various outfitting services on public or private land and/or various businesses on public or private land as determined by the Campbell Outdoor Circuit. The Challenge events will be conducted over an established period of time, in an established geographic area in various Country, Provinces or State locations as determined by the Campbell Outdoor Circuit. The Circuit Championship Team receives, in addition to its cash and prizes, a trophy, the Campbell Cup for that specific species of animal hunt filmed.

Team participants must obey all rules and regulations of the Countries, Provinces, State or States in which the competitions are conducted. The Teams must have in their possession all appropriate permits, tags, stamps, hunting licenses and any other requirements for the species being hunted, at the time the Challenge is held, as required by the laws of the Countries, Provinces, or States in which the Challenge is conducted.

Challenges are open only to current members of the Campbell Outdoor Circuits. Each Challenge event will require an entry fee to be paid in full by each Team prior to the Challenge Event. Entry Fee and Prizes will vary with each Challenge event.

Various Circuit conducted Challenge events will allow only a specified (as contained in the following rules) number of filmed hunts to be submitted for scoring. The combinations will under no circumstances be for more animals or combinations than allowed by law. Certain laws andChallenge events may allow more animals harvested. In this case Teams, if they have the appropriate tags, may submit the higher of their filmed hunt scores for judging. If Countries, Provinces or State law allows different tag and/or permit combinations for non-resident hunters as compared to resident hunters then the Challenge shall only allow such tags as would be permitted to non-residents. These tags can only be issued to the Team’s designated hunter. The designated hunter is the only member of the team allowed to hunt. Some Challenge events may allow the hunter and cameramen both to have tags and submit hunts for scoring under the rules contained herein.

Teams are responsible for their own hunting and filming equipment, sets, and strategy. Each Team member will be required to sign a Media Release and Waiver of Liability Release before being allowed to participate in any Campbell Outdoor Circuit event.

Points will be allocated as listed below for hunting and filming. The team with the highest total point score as based on the following rules will win the Challenge event. A team’s score is a combination of the hunter’s score and the cameraman’s score.

Every Team reporting in and making themselves available for interview will receive their interview points regardless of whether they were actually interviewed or not. A Campbell Outdoor Circuit representative will have an interview booth/area/room pre-set for interviews.

Filming and audio points will be based on current industry standards for usable footage.

Partial credit towards Cameraman’s score may be allowed as determined by Judges.

In the event of a tie, the Challenge winner will be determined by the Judges’ opinion on best overall hunt footage. The Judges’ decision is final.

Hunting teams will be required to provide their own filming and hunting equipment. If a team’s equipment allows them to deliver industry standard usable footage in lower light conditions this is to their advantage. Each cameraman’s video/audio will be reviewed at the end of each day’s hunt. Any violation of these Challenge or Circuit rules or any violation of the hunting rules and regulations of the specific Country, Province or State the Challenge is held in will result in immediate team disqualification.

Each Team must grant permission to Campbell Outdoor Circuit and any successors and assigns the right to use their video, names, audio, images etc. in the production and promotion for this Campbell Outdoor Challenge Event and the Campbell Outdoor Circuit. The Campbell Outdoor Circuit may, but is under no obligation to, provide its general footage of the Challenge and any footage of a participant’s individual Team to that Team, including all interview sessions with that Team. The Campbell Outdoor Circuit will not provide any footage of one Team’s video to another Team. We highly encourage every Team to share footage to promote the Challenge, the Circuit and its participant’s products, shows, videos, sponsors, sponsors products etc. Each Team is welcome to bring and display for additional media attention any banners, logos, Team jackets etc. to promote your Team, company, or sponsor.

Teams will be responsible for their own travel expenses, equipment, any additional lodging expenses, State stamps, tags, licensing fees and other misc. expenses.

Every team member is required to and must agree to, wear a safety harness or fall restraint device at anytime a team or team member hunts from a non-enclosed elevated stand or platform. A stand or platform will be considered elevated if it is over four feet above the level of the land. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate disqualification of a participating team with no points earned or no refund of entry fees paid.
